I’m sure you know by now that writing about yourself can be hard (maybe even painful). We don’t want to ‘toot our own horn’, but we also don’t want to downplay ourselves. However, this is where you to get to know the *real* me…quirks and all. Which is why I'm going to keep it real and down to earth with you.
I don't want to let you down with some boring, generic 'About' page. No... you deserve much more than that. Hopefully one day I'll have the privilege of writing your story, but for now, here's mine...
Hi, I’m Christa! (a.k.a. your copywriting companion)
So… let’s get the important question out of the way first… who the heck am I? Ya know, besides just a copywriter. Well, let’s see… I like to think I’m the perfect mix between a extrovert and an introvert. Get me wrapped up in a good conversation, and I’ll tend to chat away (leaving zero room for awkward silence). Yet at the same time, I’m the type of person who will sign up for a live online workshop, only to watch the recording later on to spare myself from awkward interactions.
Ummm, what else? Oh, I’m also someone who is obsessed with order and organization (messes fear me). I have a never ending habit of making a million to-do lists… or a list of blog topic ideas for the month, all beautifully mapped out. But then, my chaotic, ADHD brain forgets about these lists instantly, going on to complete the tasks out of order, jumping back and forth between them all (defeating the entire purpose everytime).
Or there’s the fact that I can’t stop spending all my money on iced coffee and home decor from T.J. MAX… I know that probably makes me sound like a boring basic bitch… but I swear I’m not!
Alright, now that that’s out of the way… I can’t stress this part enough, so hear me out.
I don’t want to just be ‘that copywriter you once hired’… (ew).
You’re the hero of the story here, on an important mission (conquering the corporate world and becoming your own boss), I want to be the loyal sidekick that helps you complete that mission.
Why do I care you ask? Because… the world today is set up against us. I hold a strong belief that life was made for much more than slaving away at a 9 to 5, just to make another person rich. I'm assuming since you're here though, you're the type of person who can relate to this. Am I right?
Listen, for me, breaking free from the claws of the corporate world was scary as heck (especially being an ADHD brained overthinker), but it was also the *best* decision I ever made. I knew from an early age that I didn't fit the mold. I've always been a creative at heart. To put it bluntly… the corporate world sucked the life out of me! And I know I’m not alone in that.
Which is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping others break free from the mold and achieve long-term success doing what they *actually* love. By using my love of writing to help you put the power back in your hands, with copy that works hard for YOU. I also want nothing more than to keep the project process light-hearted and enjoyable (because life is hard enough, and chasing your dreams can feel scary).
Listen... I know the struggle of Just starting out… and it's hard!
You want nothing more than to get the hard part over with and just achieve your goals already. But it takes a lot of work, and involves really putting yourself out there… which can be nerve wracking… especially for my fellow ‘extrovert/introverts’, or even you full blown introverts out there!
That’s why when we work together, I want your worries to disappear as we discuss you and your business as friends -while maybe even sharing a few laughs and sipping coffee over zoom-. I want your eyes to light up with excitement as you share your goals, holding nothing back. And sharing your challenges, knowing there is zero judgment. I also want you to take a sigh of relief, knowing my services won't leave you digging around your couch cushions for spare change (because we can all agree the economy sucks a** these days). Besides being the best sidekick in your story, you probably want to know if I’m qualified to write your story… right?
Well, I like to think I’m a writer with a decade of experience… because… if we're getting technical here, you could say I've been one since the age of twelve. Hiding away in my bedroom after school in the early 2000s, typing away story after story on my old, clunky Dell computer. Though I will admit, I internally died from embarrassment when reading them years later. I mean... I was a kid so, give me a break. But it doesn't matter, I deleted all the evidence anyway.
Sorry, we've gotten a little off topic...back to it!
All jokes aside, writing has always been my biggest passion, with dreams of becoming a best selling author (no, unfortunately that dream hasn’t come true...yet), but I did discover...you guessed it... copywriting! I fell in love with it instantly and wondered why the hell I didn’t find it sooner!
Once I officially pursued copywriting as a full-time career I was thrilled! But also terrified to exit my comfort zone, because ya know, anxiety. But needless to say, I stuck with it!
And ever since I’ve dedicated my time to learning the ins and outs of what makes *great* copy. Copy that doesn’t just sound great, but actually becomes your best marketing tool, and your biggest sales weapon.
Now, get to know the version of me when 'writer' me is away…
Well okay, ‘writer’ me is never really away I suppose… but there is more to me, I swear!
So, I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, where we're mainly known for our chicken wings and horrendous winters. Which is weird, because I despise winter, and I’ve never been a big fan of chicken wings…
-So yes, I do dream of one day escaping the cold Buffalo winters and spending the rest of my days in a warm, tropical paradise, with my feet planted in the sand.-
But for now, I live a cozy little life with my fiance and our cat Peaches. And if I'm being honest, I’ve always been the type of person that is content with the simple things in life. Hand me a large iced coffee, toss me some chocolate chip cookies, and throw on a good horror movie for me to get lost in (with the lights on of course) and I'm more than satisfied.
Though I'll be the first to admit that life does come with lots of stress attached (especially in today's world) I don't believe in taking life too serious. You could say I'm the queen of laughing at myself and just being a total goof. Because, life was meant for laughing, making mistakes, and finding joy in the little things.
Some facts that make me… ME.

Indulging in Lindor chocolates throughout the day, especially while working (am I indulging at this very moment? Maybe, maybe not, guess you'll never know).

My morning XL iced coffee with lots of vanilla and espresso (AKA my creative juice).
Dessert, because I have the biggest sweet tooth known to man and I simply can't live without cake or chocolate.
My giant, oversized blanket hoodie (if you know, you know) because I'm always freezing. Plus, it makes me feel like I’m wrapped up in a safe, weighted cocoon of comfort.

I know some of you might judge me for this, but I am indeed a cat person. Don't get your panties in a bunch though because I can hear the backlash already! I love dogs (I love all animals for that matter) but cats will always have a special place in my heart. Maybe it's because I'm a clean freak and obsessed with organization, or maybe it's because I love having a little fuzzy buddy cuddle on my chest while purring up a storm. I'm gonna go with both reasons!

I'll always be a morning person! Morning is when I'm the most productive and clear headed. To me, nothing is better than waking up at 5am to make my coffee and jump on my laptop, while the world is still quite and peaceful.

My favorite places would have to be first, Aruba and second, Nashville. I'm in love with the beach… the smell of sunscreen, and a fat Pina Colada, ugh, can't get enough of it! Nashville on the other hand was just amazing in it's own way, with amazing people and the overall cheerful energy. As country music plays through every bar, restaurant, etc., (and I’m not even a huge fan of country music, but in Nashville it just hits different)!
